Before I make a donation, I want to do it first. Is this support for contabo vps?

Looking at their product page their VPS is powered by KVM, so the templates should be fully operational assuming you have access to a rescue mode.

I haven't personally ever used them though unfortunately.

Yes, you will need either VirtIO or VirtIO-SCSI template depending on which device driver your VPS is assigned by OVH. In my experience, you may be assigned either depending when your VPS is deployed.
