How is the COVID-19 virus spread?
Coronaviruses are a large family of proteins that are common to many different animals, including camels, cows, cats, and bats. In rare cases, animal coronaviruses can infect humans and then spread among humans, such as those with MERS and SARS. Many first patients in the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in Wuhan, China, in association with large fish and live animal products, suggesting the animal-to-human spread. However, this spread occurs from person to person.
